In this 2020 snowmobile review comparison guide, we’re mostly focusing on the mountain sleds – since well… we’re located in the mountains and that’s what we like… 🙂

That means we’ll be looking at the 2020 Polaris 850 Khaos, the new Ski-Doo 850 E-TEC Turbo, and the Arctic Cat Alphas.

Yes there were a few more 2020 upgrades to the mountain sled lineup – example the Ski-Doo Summit X with Expert Package.

Key 2020 Snowmobile Updates

Polaris Khaos 850

• New Velocity shock package from Walker Evans
• Different skid configuration that allows for more front in lift making it even easier to get on edge
• All mountain sled – super fun to ride

Ski-Doo 850 E-TEC Turbo

• First ever stock turbo
• Instant throttle response with no turbo lag
• Increased power at higher elevations

Arctic Cat Alpha

• A few tweaks to engine parts
• Put the Alpha One rail on the Mountain Cat

So… you’ve probably heard by now about the industry revolutionizing Ski-Doo 850 E-TEC Turbo – straight from the manufacturer with a manufacturer’s warranty. AND, Ski-Doo claims their turbo is half the weight as any aftermarket turbo.

Polaris

So what’s new with Polaris in 2020? Well, they unveiled a brand new mountain sled that is 100% mountain and 100% fun. They call it the Khaos and it boasts an 850 cc engine and comes only in a 155 track.

Polaris made a bunch of tweaks to their suspension on the Khaos to give it a little more “pop” on front end allowing you to more easily get on edge and stick those mountain side hills.

Arctic Cat

Well, not much “exciting” has changed with the Arctic Cat mountain sled lineup from Arctic Cat. They did some engine adjustments for improved performance and are now rocking the Alpha One rails on the Mountain Cats as well.
